Make colors and textures really pop using two-color brioche technique!
The first half of the class will explore the two-color brioche process, increases, decreases, and reading brioche charts. Students will create practice swatches to understand the techniques described. In the second half of the class, students will cast-on and begin a beautiful two-color brioche scarf using techniques learned at the beginning of class.
Duration: Two, 2-hour sessions. Meet once per week. This will be presented as a class/knit along, so homework will be required of students to keep up with the class schedule.
Yarn: 2 skeins (~800 yds) of fingering weight yarn in contrasting colors (recommend Ancient Arts Socknado, Malabrigo Mechita, Plymouth Estilo, Baah La Jolla, or Tosh Merino Light)
Materials: US 5 circular needles with 24” cable, tapestry needle, stitch markers, Brioche Swirls scarf pattern (must purchase in advance on Ravelry)
Skills Required: Ability to cast on, knit, purl, and increase/decrease stitches.
