Sock Class by Ron Roberts
Intermediate Sock Class by Ron Roberts
Beat the dreaded SSS (Second Sock Syndrome) and make an identical pair of socks! This class will produce a pair of toe-up socks in your choice of size. We’ll start off the class/knit along by casting on both socks and keeping our yarn untangled! We’ll follow the standard sock construction and explain how to do both socks at once.
Duration: Two, 2-hour sessions. Meet once per week. This will be presented as a class/knit along, so homework will be required of students to keep up with the class schedule.
Yarn: 1 skein of sock yarn (student’s choice, but should have ~10% nylon for durability)
Materials: #0, 1, or 2 circular needles with at least 40” cable, tapestry needle, stitch markers
Skills Required: Ability to cast on, knit, purl, K2tog, SSK, comfortable with sock construction, and comfortable with Magic Loop technique.
Schedule: 10 AM – NOON, Thursdays (meeting November 1st, and 8th)
