Learn all the basics of knitting that you need to get started, even if you’ve never held needles in your life! We’ll start with the basic stitches and make sure you get lots of practice. Next we’ll show you how to start and finish your projects (casting on and binding off). During class, you’ll start making a potholder using the stitches you’ve learned and practiced. By the end of the class, you’ll be well on your way to finishing your first knitted project!
Duration: Two, two-hour sessions. Homework will be required after the first session.
Yarn: 1 skein of light colored worsted weight wool yarn in a light color— Cascade 220 or 220 Superwash is recommended.
Materials: US size 7 or 8 circular needles with at least 24” cable, stitch markers, yarn needle
Skills Required: Willingness to learn!
